The Best of the Dolomites, Hiking and Gourmet, Sep 2015

Dear Anna

Our trip to the Dolomites was meant to be a trip of a lifetime and, indeed, it was. We think of it often and thank you all for helping to make it happen.

The staff at the Hotel Cortina was especially gracious and friendly. At breakfast every morning we were warmly greeted and they quickly picked up on our breakfast preferences. It was immediately comfortable and welcoming. Hotel La Majun in La Villa was a change in location, but also as welcoming. The restaurants and the dining was everything as advertised; we enjoyed wonderful food and wine.

Our best and fondest memories, however, are of the majestic Dolomites. It was a dream realized that we will always remember very fondly. Grazie mille, Marco, for guiding us through such a great adventure. Your knowledge of the history of the region made us feel a part of that history. Your guiding us through the cuisine of the rifugi was also appreciated. Heather will always treasure the via ferrata and I will always treasure her smile when she climbed it. This adventure for us began with a picture we saw online of a person climbing the via ferrata.

We were very impressed on how well everything was coordinated between the various venues. Everyone that we were involved with was friendly and welcoming; a pleasure to be with.

It was a very special holiday; one that we will always remember fondly and wish we could do again and again. For that we thank you, Anna, Marco and Kathy at FireFly and hope that perhaps we will have the good fortune of doing so again.
