Trails and Towns of the Dolomites

Trails and Towns of the Dolomites

Our trip to the Domolites was a spectacular experience.  Our itinerary gave us the opportunity to experience Bressanone/Brixen where we enjoyed the charming village and a walk to the Novacella Abbey (with wine tasting of course!).

The standout of the holiday was the hikes that we took each day.  I appreciated that each hike was different giving us the opportunity to see different views and terrain.  My favorite hike was the Putia Massif Loop; I enjoyed the terrain the most.  The hardest day for me was the Gunter Messner trail; the terrain was challenging for me, but my husband particularly enjoyed that hike.

For the most part the accommodations and food were wonderful. The first hotel in Bressanone was charming - and the dinners at the Finsterwirt were spectacular.  I loved the warmth and welcome at the rifugio at Passo delle Erbe.  The hotel in San  Vigilio was in such a beautiful setting, and again the food was wonderful. The welcome at the Hotel was above expectations.  My least favorite was the Hotel in Val di Funes.  The room was average and so was the food.

The Dolomite Mountains Adventure Company did an awesome job of arranging this trip - we've got always quick replies to the emails.  The selection of trails and accommodations was just about perfect.  I highly recommend your company to anyone interested in a trekking experience in the Dolomites.

Warm regards
