More info

Alta Badia
Enjoy endless panoramas of rare beauty, unspoiled nature and historic infrastructures for a perfect active mountain holiday. Also known as Val Badia, the terrain in this region is perfect for hiking, biking and skiing – over 400 km of trails - or for simply taking in the spectacular nature that surrounds it.  Try your hand at a Via Ferrata climb, using unique iron ladders built into protected mountain paths.  Alta Badia is not just about outdoor activities, however.  The area is also home to several award-winning hotels and Michelin-star rated restaurants that serve exquisite first class cuisine.

Cortina d’Ampezzo
This charming Dolomites valley offers everything the adventure traveller could need, whether it’s natural beauty, outdoor activities or exciting night life.  It’s the perfect location to experience everything that the Dolomites have to offer.  The climate is mild and inviting and makes for a pleasant stay regardless of the time of year thanks to the shelter provided by the surrounding mountains.  Cortina is home to a large national park which protects the natural beauty of the magnificent countryside.  It also offers some of the best shopping in the region.

The Michelin Star-rated Restaurants:

St. Hubertus (2 Michelin Stars) – Once a tiny pizzeria, in 2000 it blossomed into the Michelin-starred restaurant it is today under the expertise of head chef Norbert Niederkofler.  Nine cozy tables make up the quaint dining room, while one special chef’s table offers a view into the kitchen and one spot located in front of the fireplace.  The menu boasts a variety of dishes that are expertly prepared using the freshest local ingredients.

La Siriola (1 Michelin Star) – Touted as one of the best restaurants in the Dolomites, and nestled amidst the towering peaks, this simple yet elegant dining establishment reaches all new heights of taste and gourmet cuisine. Under the command of Executive Chef Matteo Metullio, the food choices are plenty, with mouth-watering local dishes that showcase the regional spices and ingredients.  Food is accompanied by the finest wine labels. Eating here isn’t simply dinner - it’s a one of a kind experience.

La Stüa de Michil (1 Michelin Star) – Tastefully decorated tables topped with candles and floral arrangements line the softly lit dining room of this lovely restaurant.  Inspired by the surrounding landscape, the atmosphere here provides a distinct feel of the local Ladin culture, as does the cuisine, wonderfully designed by head chef Arturo Spicocchi.  Don’t forget to save room for dessert – it’s a little bit of heaven on earth.

Tivoli (1 Michelin Star) – Another delightfully elegant restaurant located in the heart of Cortina.  The intimate yet welcoming dining room serves up several creative dishes with a unique focus on the local wild game and other regional cuisine.  Chef Graziano Prest works magic with the many herbs and spices of the area and puts together culinary masterpieces that fit for royalty, yet pleasantly low key.  While you’re there be sure take a good look around.  You may catch a glimpse of one of the many politicians and actors that often dine here.
