Tre Cime di Lavaredo, Dolomites
TRIP HIGHLIGHTS
- Experience the rich Ladin culture with many traditions that make this region so unique
- Enjoy the atmosphere of the mountain rifugios, the real mountaineer flair
- See three different valleys and learn about their differences
The Italian Dolomites are truly a hiker's paradise. Thousands of trails wind their way between the fantastic pinnacles of these jagged mountains, which magically turn from pale grey to gold and pink at dusk. We set our tour in the South Tyrol, unquestionably the finest hiking in the Italian Alps.
Hike on the National Parks – Fanes-Sennes-Braies, D’Ampezzo and the Val Badia Ladin valley crowned by the Sella and Sassongher massif. Spend the nights in the Dolomite huts, charming mountain inns that offer a welcoming and unique atmosphere. Although they are called “rifugi” (refuges), the mountain huts in the Dolomites are more comfortable than in the rest of the Alps, resembling little inns more than huts.
