Visit Costalunga Pass

Located just 8km west of Vigo di Fassa, Passo di Costalunga is the grassy saddle that connects the Latemar group with the Catinaccio.  It was originally named Carezza, which is derived for the German word for bowl based on the pass’s unique shape.  A perfect location that is kissed by the warm sun and an open, panorama of the surrounding mountain ranges makes it ideal to visit.

Warmer weather provides plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities, from walking and hiking to mountain biking to horseback riding, climbing and even golf.  Lake Carezza, a beautiful body of water, is also located in the area, set amidst the picturesque wooded background and towering mountain peaks.  During snowy weather, it serves as a starting point of a number of ski trails of varying levels of difficulty.  The sunny location and number of choices makes it a perfect pick for families and those just learning how to ski.
