Luxury Multisport Experience at Exclusive Mountain Lodge

From your arrival airport, take a private transfer to our Luxury Mountain Lodge (~1 hour and 45 minute car transfer, optional ~20 minute helicopter transfer).
The lodge is located on a sunny high plateau at the very end of the Val Badia (Badia Valley) where it reaches Val Pusteria, one of the most popular valleys all over the Alps. Stretching from Bressanone / Brixen in Italy, to Lienz in Austria, the rich green Puster Valley belongs partly to Italian South Tyrol, partly to the Austrian region of East Tyrol. The property is an antique hunting lodge from the 16th century, where the warm and reassuring atmosphere harmoniously merges with the untainted nature of the woods of the Val Pusteria.
Surrounded by 17 hectares of private meadows and forest, the lodge is located in the middle of nowhere and clients, in an absolutely exclusive way, have the feeling of living in fairy tale where history is paired with a silent luxury. If you are taking a guided trip, you will meet with your UIAGM/IFMGA Professional Mountain Guide in the morning for a trip briefing. If you are taking a self-guided adventure, you will meet with a Dolomite Mountains representative who will provide a trip briefing and orientation, as well as maps and everything necessary for your self-guided adventure. 
Today’s exciting itinerary begins at the very top northwestern corner of the Dolomite region, a short distance south of the Austrian border, and takes you around the majestic isolated Sass de Putia / Pieterkofel. The starting point of the Rundweg Peiterkofel is Passo delle Erbe / Würzjoch, a broad saddle amidst beautiful flowered pastures.
Located at the very foot of the mountain, the pale Dolomite formations of Sass de Putia rise from dramatic multi-colored rock strata and tower above the pass. This varied and sometimes challenging loop trail will take you across the Forecella di Putia (2,357m / 7,733') and the Göma Pass (Gömajoch, 2,111m / 6,926'), before gently climbing back to the Gömahütte, a pasture, and farm-cum-snack bar Munt de Furnella / Fornella Hütte. After completing your loop around the Sass de Putia, return transfer to the lodge. (~4 hours hiking 16.5 km / 10.3 miles, 650m / 2,132' ascent and descent)
Summit Option: ascend the peak of Sass de Putia (2,875m / 9,432'), where the views are quite amazing.  (Additional ~2 hours hiking, 500m / 1,640' ascent and descent.) Optional Astronomy Evening – learn the stars of the Dolomites!

Today you will hike in the gorgeous area of the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Nature Park, full of spectacular vistas across a vast swath of the Dolomites, and an ever changing landscape from lakes, forests, and high alpine meadows, to lunar landscapes strewn with boulders of dolomite.
After breakfast, take a short transfer to the spectacular Lago di Braies / Pragser Wildsee (1,292m / 4,240'). Generally considered the most picturesque lake in the Dolomites South Tyrol, this emerald green masterpiece is set within a wild and romantic rock basin towered over by the majestic Seekofel / Croda del Becco. From here you’ll hike a moderate/challenging trail, starting with a straightforward steady climb to a high altitude plateau with wide reaching vistas, and ultimately circumnavigating the mountain Croda del Becco (2,810m / 9,219') in the Natural Park of Dolomiti d’Ampezzo, where the panorama is vast and breathtaking. Continue your circuit around Seekofel, and descend to Lago di Braies. (~6-7 hours hiking, 16km / 9.9 miles, 1,059m / 3,474' ascent and descent)
Summit Option: if you want more of a challenge today, you also have the option to summit Croda del Becco (2,810m / 9,219'). This rewarding ascent offers breathtaking 360-degree views that take in a surprising number of Dolomites peaks around you, as well as the snow-capped Austrian ranges spreading across the northern horizon – simply breathtaking (~2 hours hiking 3.6km / ~2 miles, 484m / 1,588' ascent / descent).

During the First World War, the Lagazuoi - Cinque Torri area was the scene of severe fighting between Alpini (Italian Mountain Troops) and the Kaiserjäger (Austrian Alpine Troops). In order to maneuver through these vertical mountains, troops dug tunnels and set up a system of fixed cables and ladders directly into the rock, known as “via ferrata,” or “iron path.” While most of the ferrata have been replaced with newer hardware, they follow the same routes the military used in WWI, high into the mountains.
Climbing a via ferrata is an exhilarating way to enjoy the magnificence and sheer magnitude of the Dolomites. Completely protected, attached to a system of anchored cables while you climb, you’ll enjoy vistas typically reserved only for mountaineers!
Ascend the ‘Kaiserjager’ trail, a historical and well-equipped path used by the Austrian troops during WWI, and rebuilt as a walkable trail in their honor. Climb to the restored ruins of the Austrian position and battlements, the Vonbank front line. Over a winding path, you then climb to the summit of Piccolo Lagazuoi (2,778m / 9,114'), the view from the top is amazing, with a unique panorama on the surrounding Dolomites, and as far as the Austrian Alps. The nearby rifle-pits, restored and made accessible, show the strategic value of this battle position, which towers over the Falzarego Pass. (~2.5 hours hiking 3km / ~1.5 miles, ~700m / 3,000' ascent.)
After lunch, discover the WWI Tunnels that literally changed the face of the mountain Lagazuoi. This remnant of the First World War leads through the famous steep winding tunnel, created by the Italian soldiers who dug through the Piccolo Lagazuoi from the bottom, to attack the Austrian soldiers occupying the summit. (2-3 hours hiking, 670m / 2,198' descent.)

Enjoy a spectacular day whitewater rafting on the Rienza River in the South Tyrol! As the river narrows, the drops get steeper, and rocks and boulders create waves – you can feel their force on high-volume parts of the river! That’s when the adventure begins, rafting class 2-3 white water on a 2-3 hour rafting adventure through the Val Pusteria (Puster Valley).
The experience of white water rafting in South Tyrol also means the opportunity to experience nature from a different perspective. You will be able to catch a glimpse of rare landscapes that few get the chance to see, and have the option to hop off the raft along the way and explore further. Private transfer to the lodge. 
In the evening, a private transfer will whisk you to an elegant restaurant for a cooking class and demonstration, followed by a private gourmet meal with carefully prepared local dishes created by the master chef.

After breakfast, take a private transfer to your departure airport (optional helicopter transfer).
