Gabriel Perenzoni

GABRIEL PERENZONI was born in Rovereto in 1984.He grew up in Trentino and currently lives in Mori, a small town near Rovereto, 15km from Lake Garda.Gabriel began to ski at three years old. At eleven, he and his father went on three days of trekking, just a backpack, a sleeping bag, and some food! He looks back on this wonderful adventure and believes that this was his call to the mountains. He felt free looking out over the horizon, drinking from streams, and sleeping under the stars. At 17 years old, Gabriel started climbing and ski touring, and two or three years later, he began to explore the high mountains in the Alps. Crossing glaciers and climbing the highest summits became his greatest passion until, in 2021, he completed an extreme mountaineering undertaking where he climbed all 82 summits of 4000 meters in the Alps in 80 days - Project AltaVia4000.For Gabriel, mountaineering is a lifestyle, and when he's not guiding you'll find him living his dream of climbing, skiing, or mountaineering and enjoying his favorite local hearty dish of Canederli or Knödel, dumplings served with delicious browned butter and parmesan.Gabriel has been a professional athlete in Alpine skiing, ski touring, and Ultra Trail running. He began competitive alpine skiing when he was six years old. He's contended in the classic FISI race circuit and the Italian Championship three times and competed in ski touring races like SELLARONDA, ADAMELLO SKI RAID, and MEZZALAMA. The Ultra Trails period, he says, was the best time of his competitive life. He ran for five years and lived out his dream when he finished the ULTRA TRAIL MONT BLANC, the TOR DE GEANT, and the LAVAREDO ULTRA TRAIL.Gabriel became a qualified UIAGM / IFMGA Mountain Guide in 2022 and guides mountaineering, ski touring, climbing, canyoning, trekking, and ice climbing. He says the best thing about guiding is seeing the joy on the faces of his clients when they have a new exciting experience, when climbing the summit of their dreams, and pushing their limits. He believes his job is to accompany people through their discovery of the beauty of nature with themselves right in the center of it.
