Mauro Zannoni
I was born in Ravenna in 1973 and grew up in Bologna. When I was 20 years old, I moved to Arco, Trento, where I lived for two years, and after that, I found my house in the Dolomites. Now I live in Venas di Cadore, a little village close to Cortina d’ Ampezzo.Although I obtained an electronics technician degree, my passion drove me to the mountains. I’ve always been so lucky: when I was young, I did lots of via ferrata in the Dolomites with my Dad, and I practiced ski sports in ski club competitions until the age of 16. After that, quite a natural consequence, I became a ski instructor and ski trainer. Around the age of 20, I started to be interested in climbing. In the Dolomites, my favorite route is “ Der Weg Durch den Fisch” on the south face of Marmolada. This route has been my dream for many years, and when I finally climbed it, I felt so happy and excited.I also climbed abroad in South Africa, Marocco, and the USA ( Yosemite Valley) and did mountaineering expeditions in the Himalayas and Russia.I obtained the Mountain guide certificate in 2011, and today, I guide clients in the Dolomites, Mont Blac, in Gran Paradiso, Monterosa.I speak a little English. The motto I use to joke with Italian kids is “Casco è meglio metterlo che dirlo. “
We're in this world for 3 minutes; we have to enjoy life.
