Dolomites Hut-to-Hut Snowshoeing Circuit, Feb 2016
We had a great time on the trip, despite the questionable weather. We knew it could be like that, but at least we did have two glorious sunny days. Jiri was a great guide. We really enjoyed having him along. He's very knowledgeable about the area, and we felt he was very safety conscious. We had to change course the second day to avoid hiking under a steep slope covered in deep new snow. We felt he made the right decision there. We were also pleasantly surprised with the accommodations. Some refuges are quite primitive, but all of these were very clean, with cozy dinig rooms and good food.
I took about 900 photos, which I will eventually integrate into a series of posts on my blog (see links below).
