Sella Ronda Biking, Dolomites

TRIP HIGHLIGHTS
- Bicycle over seven breathtaking Dolomite mountain passes, enjoying fabulous descents into beautiful valleys
- Experience three cultures – Italian, German, and Ladin – with their many traditions that make this region so unique
- Explore many of the highlights of the Dolomites: Tre Cime di Lavaredo, Alta Badia, Cortina d’Ampezzo, and the Sella Massif, to name a few!
Do you enjoy the challenge of steep cycling ascents? Crave altitude? And enjoy the rush of breathtaking scenery racing by as you accelerate down off the mountain? The incredible geography of the Dolomites provides just this: a high density of mountain passes within a relatively small area, affording steep ascents and descents on rural roads without traffic. And we’ve selected seven of the most beautiful passes in the Dolomites to create the perfect week of biking: 7 passes in just 7 days! During this incredible week we will ascend Tre Croci (1,805m / 5,920'), Giau (2,230m / 7,316'), Gardena (2,137m / 7,011'), Sella (2,240m / 7,349'), Pordoi (2,242m / 7,356'), Falzarego (2,105m / 6,906') and delle Erbe (2,000m / 6,562').
But there’s more! Enjoy hearty meals that are representative of the incredible diversity of this region, the South Tyrol. Experience the three different cultures that define the region – German, Italian, and Ladin. Explore the charming Italian town of Cortina d’Ampezzo and the traditional Ladin valley town of Alta Badia. And relax after a long day’s ride at comfortable, “bike friendly” hotels and bed and breakfasts. Now that’s what we call a vacation!

Depart from Cortina d’Ampezzo and bike on the road up to Misurina passing by Tre Croci Pass and Misurina Lake. Ascend to Rifugio Auronzo and circumnavigate the mighty Tre Cime di Lavaredo.
