Trip Overview

On this fantastic Ski Safari, you'll explore the breathtaking mountains and ski through the picturesque valleys, experiencing the best of what this region has to offer. Our expert guides will lead you on an unforgettable journey, taking you to the Dolomites' most beautiful and exciting ski runs. Along the way, you'll stop at cozy mountain huts for delicious local cuisine and drinks. Whether you're an experienced skier or a beginner, this ski safari in the Dolomites is the perfect way to enjoy the winter wonderland of Italy.
Your adventure begins in Cortina d'Ampezzo, one of the most popular ski resorts in the Dolomites. This charming town is surrounded by towering peaks and offers various slopes for all skill levels. You'll find plenty of runs to enjoy here. And when you're not on the slopes, you can explore the town's boutique shops, restaurants, and cafes. The next destination on the safari is Sesto. This small village is located in the heart of the Dolomites and offers some truly breathtaking scenery. The skiing here is world-class, with plenty of challenging runs for experienced skiers and snowboarders.
Plan de Corones is next. This ski resort is in the northern part of the Dolomites and offers some of the best skiing in the region. With over 100 kilometers of slopes, there's something here for everyone, from beginners to advanced skiers. And the views from the top of the mountain are simply stunning!
Extensive natural landscapes at the foot of majestic peaks, sustainability and hospitality, centuries-old traditions, fine dining, and excellent wines: In Alta Badia, you will find all this along with plenty of personal space to enjoy the tranquillity of nature in the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites. Alta Badia is a place where nature's grandeur is on full display. The area is a skier's paradise, between 1,300 and 2,778 meters above sea level, offering optimal skiing conditions from December through to April. With 53 fast and comfortable ski lifts and 130 km / 80 miles of excellently prepared ski pistes, this area is subdivided into 74 km / 45 miles of easy/blue, 47 km / 30 miles of medium/red, and 9 km / 5 miles of challenging/black runs. Positioned at the heart of the world's biggest ski carousel, the Dolomiti Superski, Alta Badia is one of the most popular skiing areas in the Dolomites, providing access to over 500 km / 310 miles of pistes. You won't have to worry about lengthy queues or crowded lift stations and slopes, which are treated every night by many snow groomers to ensure they're perfectly prepared for the next day. The presence of representatives of the Alpini and Carabinieri police forces guarantees absolute safety, and their motorized sleds ensure they can quickly respond when needed. Get ready to experience the thrill of skiing in one of the most magnificent skiing areas in the world!

Want to learn more about our Mountain Inns & Rifugi?
Rifugi – or mountain huts in English – are the classic accommodation for hikers, climbers, mountaineers, and ski mountaineers in the Alps. Set in spectacular locations high in the Dolomites, rifugi are accessible only on foot (with a few exceptions that are reachable by car). These marvelous establishments are open primarily in the summer, with a select few in winter, and offer meals and sleeping facilities.

The Dolomite rifugi are considered the best in the Alps. While some are dormitory style with bunk beds, many meet the standard of a simple guest house with private rooms and en-suite bathrooms, and each has its own unique character and charm. Bedding and linens are provided, hot showers are available, and meals are served in common dining areas – like a small mountain inn set high in the mountains with the most incredible vistas in the Dolomites. Whether you’re hiking in summer or skiing in winter, an overnight rifugio stay is not to miss on a Dolomite holiday.
