Adventurous activities in the mountains have their dangers. These can never be removed altogether but they can be minimized. At Dolomite Mountains, our aim is to provide you with a thrilling holiday directed with maximum attention to your safety and that of others. We give you the opportunity to learn mountain-craft skills and understand about the hazards, how to minimize the risk, and how to cope with incidents should they happen. All mountain activities require appropriate clothing and equipment. This is ensure preparedness for quickly changing weather conditions and varying activities
Terms & Conditions
Given the particular nature of the proposed trips, the daily itineraries are considered to be a guideline. A series of variable factors while traveling in the mountains (weather conditions, communication problems, etc.) may endanger the security of the participants and, for this reason, variations may occur to the programmed itineraries.
Bookings are regulated by the present general conditions, by the law n° 111 of March 1995, by the ECC directive n° 90/314, and by the law n° 1084 of 27/12/1977. In any case the Tour Operator responsibility will not exceed the limits foreseen by the above mentioned laws. In case of “force majeure”, the Tour Operator reserves the right to change hotels and holiday destinations with others nearby. The Tour Operator is not responsible for any damages caused by the client.
Bookings are subject to availability. Should the vacation you have chosen no longer be available a similar holiday will be proposed where possible. Booking details will be sent by fax or E-mail by the Tour Operator who will consider the booking confirmed only after having received a 30% deposit ( or the full cost in case of “last minute” bookings) of the vacation. The Tour Operator is responsible for making sure that each part of the vacation booked is provided to a reasonable standard.
Prices are quoted in euro (€).
Each trip member must wear appropriate footwear for the activity they are engaging in (for example, sturdy hiking boots with ankle support for hiking tours).
In case of luggage transfers during your trip, a Dolomite Mountains duffel bag is provided for you to use. You can pack the belongings you require for the nights where you will be staying away from your hotel in this duffel, and leave the rest of your luggage stored at your hotel. When you return from your overnight excursion, your luggage will await you – either at your original hotel (if you are returning there), transferred to multiple accommodations throughout your journey, or transferred to your final destination. At the end of your trip, please leave the duffel bag at your hotel’s reception desk. If you wish to keep it, we will charge the amount of Euro 120 to your credit card.
Booking will be confirmed upon receipt of a 30% deposit. Payment of the balance, according to the Tour Operator pro-forma holiday invoice, is due no later than 30 days before departure for Italy.
- 31+ days prior to departure: 30% deposit
- 30 days prior to departure: balance due
Travel documents will be sent (to fax or address provided) by the Tour Operator only after having received the total amount on the vacation invoice. Please do not forget your travel documents when you depart for Italy.
At the time we receive written notice that you must cancel your trip, the following fees will apply:
- 91+ more days prior to departure: 20% loss of trip cost & 10% transfer to a future trip (within one calendar year)
- 46 to 90 days prior to departure: 100% loss of deposit
- 31 to 45 days prior to departure: 50% loss of full amount
- 30 days or less prior to departure: 100% loss of full amount
These charges are a percentage of the total cost of the booking. The days indicated are from the trip departure date. All cancellations must be made in writing.
COVID FLEXIBLE CANCELLATION POLICY
Our Cancellation Policy Is Now MORE FLEXIBLE!
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have temporarily adjusted our deposit and cancellation policies, and created a Flexible Cancellation Policy to give you more confidence when making your travel plans. This policy lets you cancel or reschedule your trip, closer to the time of departure than before, and with no additional costs, giving you added flexibility and peace of mind.
Trip Cancellation for COVID-19 Reasons:
At the time we receive written notice that you must cancel your trip, the following fees will apply:
21+ more days prior to departure: Traveler and their group may cancel their trip for a full refund, rebook their trip for a future date, or receive a credit voucher* for a future trip that begins within 2 years of their original trip departure date.
20 days or less prior to departure: Traveler and their group may rebook their trip for a future date, or receive a credit voucher* for future trip that begins within 2 years of their original trip departure date.
*Minus any non-refundable costs including a Eu150 development fee (for refund - rebooking & travel voucher)
COVID-19 Trip Cancellation Requirements:
- Positive COVID-19 Test
- Medical proof of positive COVID-19 test result is required.
- COVID-19 Official Travel Restrictions
- These must be officially declared by the Italian State and / or by the country of origin of guest, preventing free movement between countries or regions within Italy, due to the closure of access routes to Italy (lockdown, red zones and quarantine included.

COVID-19 Trip Cancellation Terms
- If a rebooked tour is priced higher than the original tour, the traveler will be responsible for paying the difference. If the rebooked tour is priced lower than the original tour, the traveler will receive a travel credit for the difference, which can be used for additional services on the rebooked trip, or kept on file for two years from the date of rebooking for future use.
- Although every effort is made to ensure any non-refundable fees are minimized, there are occasions where we must commit to accommodations, permits, and other services to support the running of our trips. The value of non-refundable costs can be requested from Dolomite Mountains at the time of booking.
- Refunds are made through wire transfer. All bank fees must be paid by you.
- The COVID-19 Flexible Cancellation Policy applies only to new bookings, booked on or after 5 March 2021
- We reserve the right to withdraw this policy at any time without prior notice, and to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions at any time without prior notice or liability. When the Coronavirus emergency has ended, should we need to revert to our standard payment and policy, we will notify all of our booked travelers, and provide a generous grace period before it takes effect.
Once booked, changes to your trip are subject to a €50 change fee. Change requests made 15 days or less prior to departure are each subject to a €100 fee. These fees will be applied in addition to any other costs incurred because of the change.
Please note that itinerary changes due to the weather condition are not are not included in the price.
Claims can only be made by the client once the full cost of the holiday has been paid. However, any complaints should be reported immediately to the Tour Operator, in written form, during the holiday. If the complaint is not sorted out during the holiday period, a registered letter should be sent to the Tour Operator within 10 days of returning from your holiday. Dolomite Mountains s.r.l. has taken all reasonable care to make sure that all the services are provided to a reasonable standard and are provided as described in the itinerary. Dolomite Mountains s.r.l. is not responsible for any changes made by the supplier of which they have not been informed. Any suggestions from the client will be gladly accepted in order to improve the level of services and accommodation provided.
Both parties agree that the contract will be governed by the Italian law. Any dispute which may arise from either party’s obligations shall be subject to the exclusive Italian jurisdiction and to the exclusive competent authority of the Civil Court of Belluno, Italy.
A warranty fund has been established by the ‘Presidenza del Consiglio dei Ministri’ (Italian Government Authorities) to safeguard the client in the case of Tour Operator insolvency or bankruptcy, safeguarding a holiday refund and repatriation of the clients if abroad.
