If you're concerned about the effect of Coronavirus (COVID-19) on your travel plans, and having the right travel insurance coverage, we recommend Global Rescue. Through their IMG (International Medical Group) Signature Travel Insurance policies, they offer upgrades called "Cancel and Interrupt for Any Reason". If you need to cancel or interrupt your trip, you'll be covered up to 75% of the trip cost if you cancel your trip for any reason that falls outside the normal specifications of the policy you purchase with them. Adventurous activities in the mountains have their dangers. These can never be removed altogether but they can be minimized. At Dolomite Mountains, our aim is to provide you with a thrilling holiday directed with maximum attention to your safety and that of others. We give you the opportunity to learn mountain-craft skills and understand about the hazards, how to minimize the risk, and how to cope with incidents should they happen. All mountain activities require appropriate clothing and equipment. This is ensure preparedness for quickly changing weather conditions and varying activities


Terms & Conditions

General Conditions
Given the particular nature of the proposed trips, the daily itineraries are considered to be a guideline. A series of variable factors while traveling in the mountains (weather conditions, communication problems, etc.) may endanger the security of the participants and, for this reason, variations may occur to the programmed itineraries.

Bookings are regulated by the present general conditions, by the law n° 111 of March 1995, by the ECC directive n° 90/314, and by the law n° 1084 of 27/12/1977. In any case the Tour Operator responsibility will not exceed the limits foreseen by the above mentioned laws. In case of “force majeure”, the Tour Operator reserves the right to change hotels and holiday destinations with others nearby. The Tour Operator is not responsible for any damages caused by the client.

Bookings are subject to availability. Should the vacation you have chosen no longer be available a similar holiday will be proposed where possible. Booking details will be sent by fax or E-mail by the Tour Operator who will consider the booking confirmed only after having received a 30% deposit ( or the full cost in case of “last minute” bookings) of the vacation. The Tour Operator is responsible for making sure that each part of the vacation booked is provided to a reasonable standard.

Prices are quoted in euro (€).

Each trip member must wear appropriate footwear for the activity they are engaging in (for example, sturdy hiking boots with ankle support for hiking tours).

In case of luggage transfers during your trip, a Dolomite Mountains duffel bag is provided for you to use. You can pack the belongings you require for the nights where you will be staying away from your hotel in this duffel, and leave the rest of your luggage stored at your hotel. When you return from your overnight excursion, your luggage will await you – either at your original hotel (if you are returning there), transferred to multiple accommodations throughout your journey, or transferred to your final destination. (See your specific itinerary for details.) 
At the end of your trip, please leave the duffel bag at your hotel’s reception desk. If you wish to keep it, we will charge the amount of Euro 120 to your credit card.

Booking will be confirmed upon receipt of a 30% deposit. Payment of the balance, according to the Tour Operator pro-forma holiday invoice, is due no later than 30 days before departure for Italy.

  • 31+ days prior to departure: 30% deposit
  • 30 days prior to departure: balance due

Travel documents will be sent (to fax or address provided) by the Tour Operator only after having received the total amount on the vacation invoice. Please do not forget your travel documents when you depart for Italy.

At the time we receive written notice that you must cancel your trip, the following fees will apply:

  • 91+ more days prior to departure: 20% loss of trip cost & 10% transfer to a future trip (within one calendar year)
  • 46 to 90 days prior to departure: 100% loss of deposit 
  • 31 to 45 days prior to departure: 50% loss of full amount
  • 30 days or less prior to departure: 100% loss of full amount

These charges are a percentage of the total cost of the booking. The days indicated are from the trip departure date. All cancellations must be made in writing.

To avoid cancellation and trip change costs, please consider purchasing travel protection insurance. At Dolomite Mountains, we recommend Global Rescue. We occasionally may have to cancel any trip at any time before departure for commercial reasons beyond our control, including if the minimum numbers required to operate the trip (group departures only) are not reached.  If we do have to cancel your trip, you can transfer the fare to an alternate departure date for no additional fee or alternatively opt for a refund, including your deposit. 

Once booked, changes to your trip itinerary or logistics are subject to a €100 per person-change fee. Please ensure you have read the full and final itinerary and considered any possible changes before signing terms and conditions and paying your deposit(s). These fees will be applied in addition to any other costs incurred because of the change. Please note that itinerary changes due to adverse weather conditions are not included in the cost. 

Dolomite Mountains are occasionally required to make changes to itineraries and activities if necessary due to severe weather or other unpredictable events, or in order to improve the trip. We are committed to running trips as close to the scheduled itinerary as possible and we will go to extraordinary lengths to keep trips running as planned if affected adversely by weather or other events outside of our control. If itinerary changes are made before your trip, you’ll be notified by email to your supplied email address.

Dolomite Mountains undertake to provide travel services as outlined in the trip itinerary(s) subject to its absolute discretion to alter any part of the itinerary and activities included therein. You acknowledge that Dolomite Mountains is the tour operator and you have no contract or agreement with any other person or company.

Dolomite Mountains assumes no responsibility or liability for any delay, mishap, inconvenience, expense, injury or death, theft of personal property or documents, or damage to property occasioned through acts of God, detention, weather, war, quarantines, strikes, threats to global health, civil disturbances, or the negligence or default of any individual or company in providing the services associated with a Dolomite Mountains trip. Adventure travel is by nature unpredictable. Dolomite Mountains reserves the right to alter any part of the itinerary at its absolute discretion.

Dolomite Mountains reserves the right to use photographic images of clients for publicity purposes only. This may include, but is not limited to, the display of images in brochures, exhibition booths, websites, and so on. 

Claims can only be made by the client once the full cost of the holiday has been paid. However, any complaints should be reported immediately to the Tour Operator, in written form, during the holiday. If the complaint is not sorted out during the holiday period, a registered letter should be sent to the Tour Operator within 10 days of returning from your holiday. Dolomite Mountains s.r.l. has taken all reasonable care to make sure that all the services are provided to a reasonable standard and are provided as described in the itinerary. Dolomite Mountains s.r.l. is not responsible for any changes made by the supplier of which they have not been informed. Any suggestions from the client will be gladly accepted in order to improve the level of services and accommodation provided.

You must have your own travel insurance for the trip and we strongly recommend that you purchase trip cancellation / interruption insurance to protect your travel investment when you book your trip. We offer optional trip cancellation / interruption insurance through a Global Rescue ( at a supplemental cost. It combines trip cancellation and interruption coverage (for covered reasons only), baggage loss protection, and medical coverage along with additional emergency evacuation coverage. Both parties agree that the contract will be governed by the Italian law. Any dispute which may arise from either party’s obligations shall be subject to the exclusive Italian jurisdiction and to the exclusive competent authority of the Civil Court of Belluno, Italy.

A warranty fund has been established by the ‘Presidenza del Consiglio dei Ministri’ (Italian Government Authorities) to safeguard the client in the case of Tour Operator insolvency or bankruptcy, safeguarding a holiday refund and repatriation of the clients if abroad.
