Trip Overview
Your adventure begins in Bolzano, the cosmopolitan capital of South Tyrol, where Italian and Austrian influences meet. From there, pedal along the scenic South Tyrolean Wine Road through vineyards and medieval villages, stopping for biodynamic wine tastings, lakeside views, and panoramic lunches in the hills of Caldaro. Ride onward to Merano, a spa town famed for its gardens, Belle Époque architecture, and mild climate.
Cycle through the Val Venosta, starting from the hilltop Marienberg Abbey and descending along one of Europe's most picturesque bike paths. Along the way, you'll visit family-run farms, sample fresh apples, and discover quiet alpine villages tucked into the hills. From Merano, follow the Eisack Valley north toward the artists' town of Chiusa and onward to the baroque elegance of Bressanone.
In the Puster Valley, explore Brunico and enjoy a visit to a traditional mountain pine distillery before capping off the week with a private tour and wine tasting at the majestic Novacella Abbey, one of the oldest monasteries in the Alps. Throughout the trip, you'll stay in comfortable, hand-picked hotels, savor regional gourmet cuisine, and travel light with daily luggage transfers and local expert support.
This e-bike tour is ideal for those seeking active travel with luxurious touches, combining moderate cycling with rich cultural experiences and spectacular alpine scenery.
