Cascioni Eco Retreat
The Cascioni estate is a fertile plain with rolling hills, full of wild blooms and well-ordered rows of plants. A haven nourished by a stream that lingers here, growing wider at the Saloni pond – part of a vast natural preserve, before slowly making its way down to the sea. Olive trees overlook fields of alfalfa. Aromatic plants and fruit trees frame the large vegetable garden, the pride and joy of Cascioni.
The typical house in the Gallura region of Sardinia where Casconi is located is the stazzo, or lu stazzu in the local Gallurese dialect. The stazzo is a traditional farmhouse: an austere and simple peasant dwelling, located in the open countryside, well-suited for working the fields that surround it. At Cascioni, they have reimagined the stazzo, combining its rural ambiance with intimate and understated hospitality. The central building features a restaurant, stone fireplace, and large mezzanine, with a lounge bar on the porch overlooking the lawn and the large swimming pool. The cellar, a cozy oak-scented room dedicated to tastings, is below. Next to it is the wellness center, with a heated swimming pool, sauna, special herbal teas, and natural beauty treatments.
Just a few steps away, across the courtyard, are the suites, each with its own porch, a private garden, a small swimming pool, and a different view of the countryside or the sea. The interiors bring the outside in, with an airy living room and comfortable bedroom are decorated exclusively using natural materials – oak, cork, light stone, cotton, and linen. Handmade terracotta floors are layered with textured carpets and soft textiles, complemented by delicate, artisanal furniture
