Val d'Ega Hike & E-Bike Getaway in the Dolomites

Tucked beneath the Latemar massif in a quiet corner of South Tyrol, this five-day hike and e-bike getaway pairs the emerald waters of Lake Carezza with sunrise summits, panoramic trails, and the Latemar Ronda, one of the finest e-bike circuits in the Alps. Come and discover Val d'Ega / Eggental, the sunny and quieter side of the Dolomites.

Trip Overview

Val d'Ega is a super-sunny valley framed by the legendary Rosengarten and Latemar massifs, with stunning hiking trails and some of the finest cycling routes in the Dolomites. Over 5 days, we take you on a journey through the heart of the valley, revealing its exceptional beauty and a secret side of South Tyrol that rewards those who seek it out.

Val d'Ega / Eggertal holds the GSTC recognition and the South Tyrol Sustainability Label, making it one of the few Alpine holiday regions internationally recognized as a model for responsible tourism.
You'll head straight into the heart of the valley where local farmers, producers, and restaurateurs have spent decades building and fostering a community-rooted approach to regeneration. Your journey begins with a rewarding loop hike from Nova Levante following forest paths and Alpine pastures toward the legendary Lake Carezza (Karersee). Its constantly shifting emerald-green and turquoise waters, framed by the towering peaks of Latemar and dense ancient forest, create a scene that feels almost too beautiful to be real.

Next, we'll whisk you up on a gondola above Nova Levante for a cycling experience on the Latemar Ronda. This circuit crosses both South Tyrol and Trentino and descends into Val di Fassa, sweeping back through forests, pastures, and traditional alpine villages to the valley floor. With e-bikes and an expert local guide, it's pure adventure and spectacular scenery from start to finish.

We'll then invite you for a deeper encounter with Val d'Ega's cultural landscape: a circular hike through forests and meadows, past wolf traps, traditional mountain farms, and an artisanal cheese haven, all beneath the sweeping backdrop of the Rosengarten. For the early risers, an optional pre-dawn adventure unlocks one of the valley's most extraordinary experiences: a sunrise hike to the summit of Corno Bianco (2,317 m / 7,602'), where the first light of day illuminates the surrounding peaks in shades of pink, orange, and gold.

Join us for five days of shimmering lakes, world-class mountain huts, epic biking, and sunrise summits. Sunny Val d'Ega is waiting for you. Contact our team and start planning your getaway in the Dolomites today.

Why E-Bike in the Dolomite Mountains?
Always wanted to mountain bike in the Dolomites, but not sure you’re up to the challenge? Then why not try e-biking! E-bikes – or electric-bikes – look like, pedal like, and handle like regular bicycles, but they have a re-chargeable electric motor to help you out. You just set your e-bike on the amount of assistance you want – from a little to a lot, pedal just like you would on a regular bike, and off you go! And imagine your uphill rides being just as relaxed as your downhill ones; on an e-bike, you can go further and explore more terrain that you might be able on your own.
Please note: You can use a mountain bike OR an e-bike for ALL our Biking Itineraries. The choice is yours!
