The Best Dolomites Passes in 1 Epic Cycling Adventure

Push your limits and fuel your passion on this epic eight-day road biking journey through the majestic Dolomites. Conquer 9 iconic mountain passes and explore the valleys of San Vigilio di Marebbe and Pederu in one of the world’s most breathtaking landscapes. This is an adventure designed for riders who want excitement, beauty, and full alpine immersion.

Trip Overview

Do you enjoy the challenge of steep cycling ascents? Crave altitude? And enjoy the rush of breathtaking scenery racing by as you accelerate down off the mountain? The incredible geography of the Dolomites provides just this: a high density of mountain passes within a relatively small area, affording steep ascents and descents on rural roads without traffic.
We’ve selected nine of the most beautiful passes in the Dolomites to create the perfect week of biking: 9 passes in just 8 days!
During this incredible week you will ascend Passo Tre Croci (1,805m / 5,920'), Passo Cimabanche (1,530m / 5,020'), Passo Giau (2,230m / 7,316'), Passo Gardena (2,137m / 7,011'), Passo Sella (2,240m / 7,349'), Passo Pordoi (2,242m / 7,356'), Passo Campolongo (1,875m / 6,150’) Passo Falzarego (2,105m / 6,906'), and Passo delle Erbe (2,000m / 6,562').

Starting in Cortina d’Ampezzo, you’ll warm up with a stunning loop around Monte Cristallo. You’ll soak in the panoramic views of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, Cinque Torri, and some of the most famous peaks in the Dolomites. Each day will bring a new challenge, from winding climbs to sweeping descents into scenic valleys and the picturesque mountain villages of Longega, Pedraces, San Martino, S. Vigilio di Marebbe, and Pederü, deep within the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Natural Park.  But there’s more! Enjoy hearty meals that represent the incredible diversity of South Tyrol. Experience the three wonderful cultures – German, Italian, and Ladin. Explore the charming Italian town of Cortina d’Ampezzo and the traditional Ladin valley town of Alta Badia. And relax after a long day’s ride at comfortable, “bike-friendly” hotels and bed and breakfasts. Now that’s what we call a vacation!
