Via Ferrata Getaway in Sexten & Tre Cime di Lavaredo

After a scenic transfer into the heart of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo area, today marks the true beginning of your via ferrata journey. With your guide, you set out on a panoramic hike beneath the north faces of the Tre Cime, leading to one of the most iconic mountain huts in the Dolomites. From here, you tackle your first via ferrata: short but historic, featuring exposed sections and iron ladders that introduce the vertical dimension of the days ahead. The day ends at a high-altitude rifugio, surrounded by extraordinary alpine scenery.

Today delivers the most iconic and historically rich via ferrata experience of the program. Accompanied by your expert mountain guide, you will move through World War I tunnels, exposed ledges, and panoramic ridgelines that tell the story of the Dolomites as both a natural and historical landscape. The ascent to the peak offers exceptional views over the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, while the traverses that follow combine technical interest with remarkable scenery. After lunch at the highest hut in the Sesto / Sexten area, the day concludes with a scenic descent to a beautifully placed rifugio, set beneath the dramatic north faces of Croda dei Toni and Cima Undici.

Today’s route follows one of the most historic and panoramic equipped paths in the Sesto / Sexten Dolomites. It is a long, continuous traverse suspended between sky and rock, where history and mountain landscapes merge. Accompanied by your guide, you will move along exposed ledges and wide-open views before a demanding descent leads you back toward the valley, concluding the ferrata experience in a quiet alpine village setting.
