Lucia Zaccaria

Lucia Zaccaria was born in Padua in 1993, but her heart has always belonged to the mountains. She grew up dividing her time between the city and the tiny village of Coi in Val Zoldana, where she spent all her school holidays at her grandfather’s house. Lucia always felt much more "at home" in the mountains than anywhere else.

After studying Linguistic and Cultural Mediation in Milan, focusing on English and Spanish, Lucia finally found the courage in 2020 to move for good to Caprile, near Alleghe—right in the heart of the Dolomites. As a child, Lucia competed in alpine skiing, and today she’s a UIAGM/IFMGA Mountain Guide. She loves accompanying groups to discover the Dolomites, organizing outdoor experiences for children, and leading themed hikes about wild herbs—there is a whole world to discover here!
What Lucia loves most about being in the mountains is the wildness and beauty: the effort of reaching a summit, the scent of the forest after rain, the colors of the rocks at sunset... She especially has a deep affection for the Cordillera Blanca and the Tour of Alpamayo in Peru.
When she’s not guiding, Lucia is probably climbing, ski touring, tending her vegetable garden, reading, or planning her next adventure. She speaks English and Spanish very well, and a little German, Portuguese, and Arabic. There’s so much to explore, from food to culture to nature. Almost without realizing it, you find yourself rejuvenated and inspired just by being in Lucia’s world!
