Paolo Valentini was born and raised in Rimini, near the sea. However, thanks to his Friulian mother, he's always frequented the mountains, particularly in the area of ​​Carnia. His love for the mountains has encouraged his constant moving around the Alps, particularly the Dolomites. At the moment, he lives near Cortina in Venas di Cadore. Paolo studied physics at the University of Bologna and economics at Rimini. Still, he never understood what his path was until he started climbing, thanks to his uncle Sergio, a mountain guide, who once convinced him to try. He was 28 years old, and since then, he has dedicated every free moment to the mountains. He immediately recognized that he wanted to follow the mountaineering path for the rest of his life, so he tried to make it his job too. In 2019 at 36, Paolo attended courses at Trentino College and became an aspiring guide. Thanks to his passion, he has traveled all over the world! First, Europe; France, Slovenia, Austria, Czech Republic, Spain, Switzerland, Morocco, and Georgia, then also outside of Europe in America and Pakistan, but his favorite places remain the limestone walls of Carnia and the landscapes of the Dolomites. Paolo hopes he can continue to travel to new places with landscapes, cultures, and traditions different from his. Paolo believes that every person in the world must visit the Dolomites at least once in their life. He remembers when he began exploring the mountains and seeing the passion in the people he accompanied. Trying to pass on his knowledge gives him great satisfaction, so he decided in 2022 to do it full-time. He immediately began accompanying people to Friuli in the Carnia region, initially with rock climbing activities, his favorite without a doubt, but also on ice climbing and ski mountaineering trips. Paolo always has a lot of projects that continually motivate him to improve, and he never wants to stop!
