Visit Passo di San Pellegrino

Visit Passo di San Pellegrino

Running between Trento and Belluno, Passo di San Pellegrino, or San Pellegrino Pass, brings together the lovely town of Moena in Val di Fassa with Falcarragh in the beautiful Biois Valley. The pass is intersected by Highway 346, which reaches a grade of 18 percent on both sides, and remains that way for several kilometers on the Belluno side. Passo di San Pellegrino also geographically separates the Feltre and Pale di San Martino mountains in the south from the Fassa and Gardena Dolomites in the north.

While the whole Dolomites area is rich with history, this particular pass was home to a number of historical events that date back to the First World War. It is also part of the Tre Valli ski area, which includes Passo Valles. The area is also home to such popular ski locales as Arabba, Falcarragh, Civetta, and the mighty Marmolada.  Not surprisingly, this makes the Passo di San Pellegrino an ideal stop for winter activities.
