Giacomo was born in Northern Italy in 1984 in Montebelluna, Italy, a small town near where Prosecco is produced. He studied winemaking in both high school and university, earned a degree in Enology, and became a winemaker. Ultimately, he decided not to pursue this as his profession, instead following his true love and passion: the mountains and all related activities. Giacomo relocated to a small town at the foot of the Cadore Dolomites, and after three intense years of studying and training, he became a fully certified UIAGM/IFMGA Mountain Guide in 2019! He has guided across northern Italy and on Mont Blanc (his favorite place to guide beyond the Dolomites, especially on the French side…). When he is not guiding, he loves to climb, ski, hang out with friends, and to travel. He hopes to one-day to have the opportunity to guide beyond the Alps!
