Elissa was born in New Zealand and grew up in the countryside before moving to Wellington City when she was eight. Wellington, celebrated as the coffee and food capital of New Zealand, is vibrant and full of life. Still, she dreamed of exploring the rest of the world, and at 21, she set off to fulfill that dream. Her travels have taken her to Thailand, Mexico, Australia, and much of Europe. She spent a year in London, followed by two years in Edinburgh. After returning home to New Zealand for a while, Elissa moved to Italy and has lived in Brunico since 2012. The breathtaking Dolomite mountains captivated her as soon as she saw them, and the delicious food stole her heart—she could happily eat six knoedel in one sitting. In 2022, she joined the Dolomite Mountains and loves writing about the beautiful region she now calls home.
